This course covers the industry trends, business and financial aspects of dairy farming, including farm planning, record keeping, different business modules, entrepreneurship development, costing, sales and marketing.

Housing Infrastructure

Cow comfort is the prime objective of housing infrastructure. This training includes understanding the principle of housing, housing parameters, right from the selection of site, layout, shed designs, climate control and type of housing and its effect.

Cow Procurement

This module includes understanding different breeds, cow selection based on linear traits, tests to be done after selection of cows, cow transport issues, importance of quarantine.

Herd Health Management

Herd health management training module is designed to understand cow health, identifying and treating diseases, deworming program, vaccination program, biosecurity program and disease screening sop. This also includes culling sop.

Nutrition (Feed and Fodder)

In forage it includes understanding forage types, quality norms of forage, agronomy, right harvesting stages, forage conservation and antinutritional factors in forages. Nutrition training module water quality, formulating a balanced ration for the herd based on the cows’ nutritional needs, monitoring feed quality, metabolic disorders, antinutritional factors in feed and nutrition checklist.

Lameness control & management

This is a major issue in India. So, we have included it in our training module. Here we will understand locomotion scoring, hoof bath sop, hoof trimming sop and different issues related to hoof.

Mastitis control and management

This is an also major issue in India. So, we have included it in our training module. This includes SCC management, nutrition and mastitis, milking and mastitis, subclinical mastitis and its effects, teat scoring, milking equipment and mastitis, shed hygiene and milking routine.

Reproduction (Breeding)

Transition Management

This is a very critical period in the lactation stage of any cow. We consider it as a landing off and take off of a Aeroplan. It includes the importance and sop of Drying off, close up (advanced pregnant) cow management, importance of DCAD diet, calving management and fresh cow management.

This course covers the design, selection of all types of dairy farm equipment based on herd size, and maintenance of dairy farm equipment, including milking parlors, TMR mixer wagon, tractors, scrappers, BMC, fans, foggers, sprinklers, grooming brushes etc.

Financial Management
